Two from my scrapbook

I'm quilting, but so busy with other things that I've not had time to take pictures. One quilt is a gift so cannot post the photo or details until after I give it.

Instead, here are a couple of older projects. The first one was for a little gal whose older sister had a quilt I'd made when she was born. The family moved away, but when the older sister refused to share her quilt with the new sibling, her mother looked for me and asked for another quilt. It is called "The Sun Always Shines in Kaylee's Garden."

The second one is a sample for a 2004 class on table runners. It is pretty basic. However, the same group that took this class is now wanting some more. We are looking at the book, "Skinny Quilts & Table Runners" and are quite excited to get started.

The sun is shining and our copious drifts of snow are shrinking. Winter is winter, but having a break like this in the middle of January certainly makes it seem shorter and more bearable!

There's a group from my guild that's working on projects from Skinny Quilts & Tablerunners. I almost joined, but I have enough projects already underway! It's a great book.

What lovely projects from your scrapbook! I have never seen that skinny quilt book before, it looks interesting.

I keep wanting to make a tablerunner but never seem to get to it. Shame too, because it would be a quick fix project. I like yours, and Kaylee's Garden is a sweet, simple quilt. We got 16 inches of snow yesterday, and the plowed snow at the side of the road is now higher than the top of my son's car! Wonder if we'll have a January thaw this year, it would be nice.
